Whether you pursue a career in academia, the private sector, government, or a non-profit, your ability to understand leadership, mentorship and management is essential to success in your chosen field.<\/span><\/p>\nThe RI C-AIM Career Development Program<\/a> Winter Intensive will introduce participants to the dynamics of intentional leadership, productive work relationships in a variety of work settings, and application of this knowledge to job readiness. <\/span>Throughout these two days, participants will build their understanding of leadership objectives, learn how to establish productive relationships with mentors and colleagues, and apply this knowledge to their searches. STEM professionals working in different sectors will share their expertise on effective management styles and how team relationships vary across professional settings and circumstances. The program will conclude with a job readiness skills session focused on creating compelling CVs and cover letters, interviewing for jobs, and salary negotiation. <\/span><\/p>\n The program is being held in partnership with Brown University. All participants are required to attend the January 15 morning session and may choose to attend any of the other sessions based on preference. <\/b><\/span> 10am-12pm: What is Leadership?
