Do you have the skills to sum up your research in a two-minute talk?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Metcalf Institute offered a workshop to help participants learn techniques for creating a compelling\u2013and brief!\u2013presentation. Participants practiced their talks and got feedback at the workshop facilitated by Dr. Sunshine Menezes, clinical associate professor of environmental communication in URI\u2019s Department of Natural Resources Science and Metcalf Institute executive director.<\/p>\n

The workshop was open to Rhode Island Consortium for Coastal Ecology Assessment Innovation & Modeling<\/a> (RI C-AIM) participants, with priority given to those giving Soundbite talks at the RI C-AIM Symposium on April 28, 2021.<\/p>\n

In preparation for the workshop, participants developed three important points to convey about their research. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Note: The Soundbite training qualifies as an elective for a Career Development Program<\/a> Certificate.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
