How will the story be told?<\/p>\n<p>Your contributions to our annual fund, <a href=\"https:\/\/securelb.imodules.com\/s\/1638\/lg20\/form.aspx?sid=1638&amp;gid=3&amp;pgid=770&amp;cid=2270&amp;bledit=1&amp;dids=21\"><strong>RhodyNow: Metcalf Institute<\/strong><\/a>, support Metcalf training that offers tools and strategies to address the communication needs on both sides of these conversations.<\/p>\n<p>Our alumni attest to the impacts of Metcalf training:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>\u201cI have a better understanding of how to navigate scientific papers and relationships with scientists, and how to report on the climate.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Kyle Bagenstose, USA Today Network<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>&#8220;Metcalf training has given me the tools to make a larger impact during presentations and meetings and has helped me communicate difficult topics for public audiences.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Kayla Kurtz, URI Environmental Engineering<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s an urgent need for this type of training, and we\u2019re taking bold steps to meet that demand. Metcalf and URI have developed two transformational giving opportunities as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/campaign.uri.edu\/\"><strong><em>Big Ideas. Bold Plans. The Campaign for the University of Rhode Island<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Impact Accelerator Fund <\/strong>will leverage a $250,000 matching commitment from an anonymous donor to increase the global footprint of Metcalf Institute training.<\/p>\n<p>A new <strong>Endowed URI Faculty Chair<\/strong> will fund the Metcalf executive director position in perpetuity and build both national recognition and impact with a high-profile director.<\/p>\n<p>Help address the climate crisis.
