It includes techniques for analyzing the patterns and configuration of nodes and edges as well as how these configurations relate to properties of nodes. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">Some of our recent work includes analyzing sexual partner networks, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">substance use networks, confidant networks and online social networks of populations at increased risk of morbidity and mortality from HIV. Directly <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">observing<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\"> how individuals are connected allows us to examine how they potentially influence each other<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">what factors are related to their connections<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">, and how <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">interventions<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\"> work in networks<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50171694 BCX8\">.
