About:

I am highly interested in receiving the Non Violence Training provided by URI as it aligns with my professional development goals. I am currently a school psychology doctoral student interested in designing interventions for the prevention of delinquency among school age-children. I am particularly interested in servicing diverse populations from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Participating in this training will allow me to develop the skills necessary for developing effective interventions for the prevention of delinquency. Moreover, participating in this training will allow me to grow as a leader and develop the abilities necessary for fostering and targeting nonviolence prevention in the community. I have worked in Central Falls, RI, the most impoverished school district in the state teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade children social emotional skills through the Center’s outreach program.
