She is passionate about<br>social justice, inclusivity, and community. Skyla works tirelessly to create an environment where<br>all students feel heard and supported. She promotes dialogue, diversity, and equality among<br>students from various cultural backgrounds.<br>In addition to her conflict resolution efforts, Skyla fosters a sense of belonging by advocating for<br>peace, love, and positive change both on campus and in the broader community. She actively<br>supports students in prioritizing their well-being by organizing emotional intelligence<br>workshops, mindfulness practices, and mental health awareness events.<br>Hailing from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Skyla is a proud Cape Verdean and serves as the Cape<br>Verdean Student Association (CVSA) President at URI. By championing collaboration and<br>compassion, Skyla Anderson is enhancing the campus climate and inspiring others to embody<br>the values of peace and respect in their daily lives.
