The nursing master\u2019s program ranks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/search?program=top-nursing-schools&amp;specialty=nur\">79<sup>th<\/sup><\/a> among hundreds of schools across the nation and is the only nursing school in Rhode Island ranked in the top 100.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5998 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo-300x205.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/nursing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo-300x205.png 300w, https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/nursing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo-768x525.png 768w, https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/nursing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo-219x150.png 219w, https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/nursing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo-80x55.png 80w, https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/nursing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/963\/Nursinglogo.png 791w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u201cThis achievement is a testament to the academic rigor of our curriculum, rooted in the robust teaching and research of our faculty,\u201d said Barbara Wolfe, dean of the College of Nursing. \u201cSuch a ranking is particularly meaningful because we have such a strong program with outstanding students and exceptional faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the field of nursing becomes increasingly complex and demanding, more nurses are choosing to pursue advanced training and expertise through graduate studies. \u201cA graduate degree can lead to professional advancement and a potential salary increase,\u201d said Anita Narayan, managing editor of Education at <em>U.S. New<\/em>s, noting that the rankings can help students make informed choices.<\/p>\n<p><em>U.S. News<\/em> surveyed hundreds of the nation\u2019s nursing schools with graduate programs accredited in late summer 2016 by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. To collect the data, nursing school deans and deans of graduate studies were asked to rate the academic quality on 14 weighted indicators.
