There is no financial need requirement to qualify. You can borrow for the total cost of attendance (URI tuition, rent, food, miscellaneous and personal). Unsubsidized Direct Loans will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Any additional funding needed will be Alternative loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any loans from your undergraduate program, they will be automatically deferred. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">You do not need to do anything<\/span>. URI sends a list of enrolled students each month \u2013 this will defer your loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interest accrues from day 1 after disbursement of funds.
