Today we are experiencing exponential growth in our knowledge of the power, complexities, and impact of our ocean environment. Ocean engineers build on these discoveries to design and implement the systems and technology that make possible a safer world and a healthier planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At URI, we encourage our ocean engineering students to get their feet wet with immediate hands-on field experiences and opportunities to work with faculty on research. As a leader in ocean instrumentation, robotics, underwater acoustics, marine hydrodynamics, coastal and offshore structures, offshore power generation, among other areas of expertise, the URI ocean engineering program offers its students a variety of dynamic career possibilities and the ability to contribute to the health of our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
