The OECI brings together high-caliber, multidisciplinary expertise to engage beyond our individual institutions on priority issues facing our ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tuskegee University<\/h2>

This paid internship program, coordinated by the University of Southern Mississippi\u2019s (USM) Marine Education Center (MEC), engages undergraduate students from Tuskegee University (TU) in the field of ocean exploration and research.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

In addition to meeting key exploration benchmarks<\/a>, OECI activities are intended to inspire the next generation of ocean explorers, scientists and engineers; educate students about ocean exploration; and encourage university students and early career professionals to participate in ocean exploration activities. Central to these education and outreach activities is the partnership between OECI partners, the University of Southern Mississippi’s<\/a> (USM) Marine Education Center<\/a> (MEC), and Tuskegee University<\/a> (TU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
