{"id":5538,"date":"2026-02-18T16:27:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T21:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/oeci\/?p=5538"},"modified":"2026-02-18T16:28:44","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T21:28:44","slug":"bridge-to-ocean-exploration-career-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/oeci\/bridge-to-ocean-exploration-career-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Economy Career Exploration Fair 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NOAA\u2019s <strong>Ocean Exploration Cooperative Institute<\/strong> (OECI; <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/oeci\/\">https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/oeci\/<\/a>), through the <strong>University of Rhode Island<\/strong>, will be hosting its 4rd annual <strong>Blue Economy Career Exploration Fair<\/strong> to raise awareness on diverse, BE employment opportunities. In addition to a broad introduction to BE industries, program participants will connect with engaging panelists in small groups and ask questions [&#8220;speed dating&#8221;], learn more about skills required for BE positions, and understand personal career journeys.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration is required <\/strong>for this <strong>FREE event <\/strong>which will take place <strong>via Zoom<\/strong> over <strong>two virtual sessions. <\/strong>The first session is from <strong>1-3:30 pm ET on Tuesday, March 10, 2026<\/strong>; the second session is <strong>1-3:30 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026.<\/strong>\u00a0 Individuals can register for one or both sessions <strong><em>(full event participation is preferred)<\/em><\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 <strong>different sector representatives will be available at each session. <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current <strong>community college, undergraduate, and graduate students<\/strong> and other stakeholders interested in learning more about BE career paths can <strong>register through <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfI2yMFNulS2SR91Luw3_fTgHOvC8AFuzfWXoNSc36c4ONqdg\/viewform?usp=dialog\"><strong>this online form<\/strong><\/a>.
