She received a Ph.D in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from University of Rhode Island (URI), a Masters Degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania. Her research focuses on sustainable energy management both on the supply and demand side. She currently explores the impact of the first U.S. off-shore wind farm on recreational choices of Block Island visitors.
