THE FORENSIC SCIENCE SEMINAR SERIES<\/strong> is offered each semester by the Forensic Science Partnership. Speakers represent the many different specialized areas of forensic science. The speakers present their real-life experience in their field. Seminars are offered for credit, but are also open to the public at no cost. Take a look at this semester’s lineup! GSO PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES:<\/strong> Women in Ocean Science at the Coastal Institute Auditorium- URI Narragansett Bay Campus<\/p>\n

To kick off Women\u2019s History Month, GSO is exploring the diverse experiences of women in ocean science. Gender diversity in oceanography has been improving in recent decades, yet women and those who identify as non-binary remain underrepresented, particularly those belonging to marginalized groups. Join a conversation with three scientists to discuss their research, and their perspectives on how the \u201cleaky pipeline\u201d of gender disparity in marine science can be fixed. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Program begins at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
