Fall registration begins <\/span>tomorrow,<\/span><\/b> Tuesday, August 22. There are four ways you can register:<\/span><\/p>\n Log on<\/a> to your OLLI<\/span> account.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Call the office at 401-874-4197. The office opens at 9:00AM. If you leave a message, we will return your call as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Stop by the office. We will begin registering walk-ins at 9:00AM.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Mail in your registration form with a check made payable to URI<\/span>. You can download <\/a>the registration form on our website.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Summer Class Spotlight: <\/span>Learn about suicide, how you can help prevent it, and resources for those affected. Join us for Practical and Proven Suicide Prevention, with Rob Harrison on Monday, August 21, 10AM $15. Rob Harrison, a 1963 U.S. Naval Academy graduate, was an engineer on nuclear submarines for six years and an instructor at submarine school for one year. He earned his M.D. at Temple University School of Medicine in 1974. His residency was in family practice. He served as attending staff at the U.S. Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton, was Westerly Hospital emergency department staff for 18 years and surgical assistant for 15 years. Sit back and learn more about Shades of Ireland (March 9-18, 2024) and Classical Greece (April 21-May 1, 2024). Donations can be dropped off in the OLLI<\/span> office.<\/span><\/p>\n RHODY OUTPOST-<\/b><\/span> Donations can be dropped off in the OLLI<\/span> office throughout the summer months. They accept donations of gift cards, food, personal items, and household supplies. They ask that you only donate items that are on this list <\/a>to minimize waste. Please note that they do not accept expired goods or any food item that is not in its original packaging. <\/p>\n OLLI<\/span> SERVES <\/span><\/b>Join us on Friday, August 25, at 10AM at OLLI<\/span> as we make plans for the fall semester. We will discuss new opportunities with Habitat for Humanity (ReStore volunteers, handyperson, cashier etc) and a possible OLLI<\/span> BUILD DAY. In addition, we will share volunteer opportunities with Rhody Outpost in preparation of students returning to campus.<\/p>\n\n
