If you\u2019re applying to one of our undergraduate programs, you will not need your URI transcript. <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 20px\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/enrollment\/\">Contact Enrollment Services for more questions.&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n<li><b>How do I transfer credits into a degree program?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Undergraduate students send your transcript to your college. Graduate students should consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/graduate-manual\/degree-requirements\/#section720\">Graduate School manual.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>What should I do if my transfer credit report is missing credits from an institution where I took courses?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">You MUST request that an official transcript be sent to URI from all previous institutions attended. If you have already requested an official transcript to be sent to the University, contact previous institution for update.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>I have taken courses previously at URI; am I considered a readmit? Is there a different application process for URI Readmits?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">If you attended the University of Rhode Island as a degree seeking student in the past, you must apply for readmission. This includes any student who has attended URI at any point in their college career as a matriculated student. &nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>How do I find info on important start dates and deadlines?&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Information on specific dates and deadlines (start of classes, last day to be refunded, last day to drop, etc.) can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/enrollment\/academic-calendars\/\">academic calendars.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>How do I check the status of my application?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To check the status of your undergraduate application, you should contact <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 20px\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/admission\/\">Undergraduate Admissions office<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. To check the status of your graduate school application, you should contact the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 20px\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/graduate-school\/admission\/\">Graduate School.&nbsp;<\/a><b><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>I&#8217;m not a U.S. citizen. Can I still take classes?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Yes, however you cannot obtain a visa or federal financial aid.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>What are certificate programs?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Certificate programs are an alternative to enrolling in a graduate degree granting program. The University of Rhode Island Graduate School\u2019s certificate programs are an option for s<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tudents enrolled in a degree program who would pursue a certificate to augment their education or receive additional training, p<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">eople interested in a graduate degree who would pursue a certificate as a path to a master\u2019s degree or Ph.D., or p<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rofessionals seeking to advance their careers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>How long will it take to complete an online course?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Online courses run on an accelerated 7 week schedule. Although you are able to manage your time during a week at your own pace, most instructors have specific deadlines weekly, and throughout the term. It is a good idea to read the entire syllabus and map out your assignment due dates on a calendar.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>Can I earn my entire degree online?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Yes. URI&#8217;s online programs are designed for working professionals and the courses are set up entirely online.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Questions about registration and student account?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Do I have a student ID number as an online student?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Yes, every student has a student ID number.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Do I get a student ID card? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">An ID card will be mailed to student\u2019s mailing address after admission.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>How do I register for an online course?<br \/>\n<\/b><a style=\"font-size: 20px\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1-PTPjuqHvnz4HRJNtFMLGnp0RjdGOPKm\">Registration Instructions<\/a><b><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Can I take an online course and an on-campus course?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\nNo, students in the accelerated, fully online programs may not take classes in other programs.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>How do I login to my online course?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Log into Sakai using your user ID and password.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px\"><b style=\"font-size: 20px\">How do I find out who my advisor and\/or class instructor is? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Your academic advisor will be listed on your e-Campus home page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>If I want, or need, to drop a course is there a timeframe I need to do this without penalty?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 20px\">MUST <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">drop an accelerated online course within <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 20px\">3 days <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of the start of the session in order to receive a refund.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b style=\"font-size: 20px\">Who should I contact if there is a hold on my account and what the hold is for?<\/b><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">When you log onto e-Campus, on the right hand side there is a box entitled \u201cHolds\u201d. If you have a hold on your account, it will list what the hold is for.
