State Approved Training Program in Drug Administration

Eligibility:

You must have a high school diploma or GED.
You must be a licensed CNA with active status.
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be currently employed in a State of RI Dept of Health Licensed Nursing Home / Assisted Living /Adult Day Care or Rehab Facility.
You must have provided your state licensed employment facility with proof of legal residence if you are a non-US Citizen.

If you are employed through a hospital or agency, you are NOT ELIGIBLE to enroll in this class.

Class & Licensure Requirements:

You are required to attend each class that meets in person (Wednesday, 6:00PM – 9:00PM).
To receive State licensure, you are REQUIRED to complete 45 hours of instruction (15 weeks).
You must attain an average grade of 70 to PASS the class.
For RI DOH licensure, you must complete a practicum that is included in the course work AND successfully finish 3 observed med passes at your current facility within TWO months after passing the course.

ONE YEAR time frame:

to successfully complete the course,
to successfully complete your three observed med passes, and
to submit all paperwork to obtain RI DOH licensure.
