Campus Shuttle Services


Campus Shuttle services are provided by RIPTA. The Campus Shuttle provides no-fare transportation to more than 20 stops around campus for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. All shuttles are ADA accessible. The Shuttles operates from 7:30 a.m. until 6:45 p.m. on weekdays, with service every 8 -15 minutes. It does not operate on weekends or holidays. Alert: Due to the closure of East Alumni Ave. the Campus Shuttle stops on Upper College Rd. across from the Fine Arts Center and on East Alumni Ave. will not have drop-off or pick-ups. As an alternate, the Shuttle route in this area has been re-routed to Greenhouse Rd. and stops have been added in this location.

 COE #70 Shuttle  — Route 70 URI Engineering Line – connects the main campus of URI with the satellite Engineering facility at 132 Fairgrounds Road in Kingston and can be boarded or exited at the Memorial Union, Rt. 138 at Graduate Village or at COE at Schneider-Electric.  Frequency:  Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every 30 minutes.  No Service on Saturdays / Sundays and Holidays. Riders boarding on Rt. 138 must be standing at the bus stop and should wave to the operator to make it completely clear that they want to get on the bus, since there is also a crosswalk collocated with the bus stops.  For detailed COE Route 70 Service information click on this link:  COE 70 Service Schedule.

210 Kingston Flex Bus – The Flex Service, which is short for Flexible Service, offers passengers the option of calling to schedule a ride or boarding at one of its regularly scheduled Flex stops and requesting to be dropped-off anywhere in the zone.  The 210 is available from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.  For detailed 210 Kingston Flex Service information click on this link: Flex Service Schedule.

211 URI RAM Line Shuttle – Serves Keaney Parking Lots, Fraternity Circle, Residential areas connecting them with the URI Student Memorial Union and the academic core of the campus. The 211 runs every 8-10 minutes from 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and every 15 minutes, then from 1:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. 211 services are provided Monday through Friday, while school is in session. 69 Hill Climber Bus/Shuttle – During peak commuting hours, the 69 Hill Climber runs in a continuous loop from the Plains Road parking lot through the core of the campus.  The 69 Hill Climber runs every 6 minutes from 7:15 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. then every 15 minutes 5:00 p.m. through 6:45 p.m. Service is provided Monday through Friday, while school is in session.
