{"id":249,"date":"2013-09-24T10:19:36","date_gmt":"2013-09-24T14:19:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pbl\/?p=249"},"modified":"2013-09-24T10:19:36","modified_gmt":"2013-09-24T14:19:36","slug":"job-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pbl\/job-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[box style=&#8221;rounded shade&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Postdoctoral Positions in Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Plant Transformation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Plant Biotechnology Laboratory at The University of Rhode Island in the College of the Environment and Life Sciences has several postdoctoral positions available in the areas of \u00a0Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Plant Transformation. \u00a0The successful applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in cellular and molecular biology, plant biology, genetics or related fields, and should have expertise in molecular biology and\/or plant transformation and genetics.<\/p>\n<p>We seek applicants for<\/p>\n<p><strong>Molecular Biology:<\/strong> Applicants should be familiar with molecular vector design and construction, standard molecular cloning techniques, plant genomic DNA isolation, DNA sequencing, PCR, qPCR, and Southern blot analysis.<\/p>\n<p>and\/or<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plant Transformation:<\/strong> Applicants should be familiar with and have experience with <em>Agrobacterium <\/em>mediated transformation;
