The University of Rhode Island Pharmaceutical Development Institute will hold a week-long open house in April, giving the campus community and the public a look at state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical education, development, manufacturing and testing.
The open house will include tours of the Pharmaceutical Processing Suites and the Analytical and Stability Testing Laboratory; live demonstrations of established equipment in the process suites, including tablet and capsule-making technologies, tablet film coating machine, and fluid bed systems; and access to some of the region’s foremost experts in pharmaceutical training and manufacturing.

Gown up in full clean room attire, including lab coats, booties, hair nets and goggles before touring the suites

Parking
Free Visitor Parking Lot #1 and Lot #9
Visitors can park for free in Lot #1 at the Welcome Center and Lot #9 near Avedisian Hall for this event. Visitors must obtain a daily visitor pass online here.
Paid Campus Parking
Visitors are always welcome on campus, and their cooperation in observing the parking regulations is appreciated. Visitors are subject to all parking regulations and all fees incurred. There are several visitor parking locations throughout campus. Visitors should use the new AMP Park app which is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Please see AMP Park instructions. If unable to download the app, metered parking can be paid at the web address https://aimsmobilepay.com
Within the app, users will be able to see on a map the lots or areas where metered parking is offered on campus. There will be signs in those areas denoting the spaces designated for metered parking. If you plan on being on campus for more than 4 hours you can obtain a daily visitor pass online here. Visitors with a valid ADA placard may park in any available ADA space on campus when their vehicle is registered using the AMP Park app or daily visitor pass.
