The overall goal is to support the replacement, reduction, or refinement of currently\u00a0used animal models in toxicology research and testing.\u00a0Laura&#8217;s award will be presented next March at the\u00a053rd SOT Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.<br \/>\nLaura is in her 4th\u00a0year pursuing a Ph.D. in the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pharmacy\/academic\/graduate\/pt\/\">Pharmacology &amp; Toxicology<\/a> track of the pharmaceutical sciences graduate program. She is originally from Connecticut and attended Western New England College where she received B.S. in Forensic Chemistry.
