Our resident will experience a rich, fulfilling 12-month program, focusing on community practice, ambulatory care and academia. The purpose of our residency is to provide our resident with the skills and knowledge necessary to become an exemplary community pharmacist, demonstrating professional maturity and a personal philosophy of excellence. Our recent graduates will have developed the clinical, analytical and leadership skills necessary to function as a clinical practitioner in a community pharmacy, ambulatory care setting, or pursue a PGY2 ambulatory care residency.<\/p>\n

Program Purpose<\/u><\/strong>: To build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community\u2010based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications. <\/em><\/p>\n

The skills and knowledge I learned during this residency have been instrumental in shaping me into the clinical practitioner I am today. This residency has shown me the positive impact that pharmacists can have on communities not only in our local neighborhoods but also on a global scale.
