Youngken Jr. Pharmacy Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference, named for the inaugural dean of the URI College of Pharmacy, brought together practicing pharmacists and pharmacy educators for a continuing education summit hosted by the College of Pharmacy and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/pharmce\/\">URI Office of Healthcare Workforce Development<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to insightful discussions and lectures on some of the key pharmaceutical issues facing the profession today\u2014including Hepatitis C; COVID, flu and RSV vaccines; diabesity and more\u2014the program offered five live contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters include some of the leading local voices in the pharmaceutical sciences industry, including URI College of Pharmacy Professor Lynn Taylor, CVS Health Fellows Riley Evans and Benjamin Jones, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Professor Jennifer Goldman, and Brown University Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Kelly Sanzen, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Semi-retired URI pharmacy Professor Michael Simeone presented the scholarship awards to the students during a lunchtime ceremony.
