Overview<\/h1><\/p>\n

Currently, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) guidelines recommend<\/span> <\/span>screening for high-risk hepatitis B antigen carriers rather than all patients with HBV infection for hepatitis delta, although studies suggest HDV screening is rarely implemented.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The goal of this continuing education home study is to increase awareness of hepatitis delta,<\/span> <\/span>common signs and symptoms for clinicians to identify, and common risk factors. It is also to<\/span> <\/span>inform clinicians on the appropriate screening and treatment recommendations for this population,<\/span> <\/span>and the associated adverse effects associated with treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n
