Members of the University of Rhode Island\u2019s Doctoral Physical Therapy Program faculty recently contributed their work at the Annual American Physical Therapy Association\u2019s Combined Sections Meeting held in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
Dr. Jennifer Audette<\/strong>, along with two colleagues – Lana Svien, from the University of South Dakota, and Cathy Peterson from the University of the Pacific \u2013 presented a 2 hour workshop “I\u2019m Taking Students Abroad!\u00a0 What\u2019s the Worst That Could Happen?” They discussed how to plan, prepare, and organize international travel with PT students in ways that reduce the risk of things going wrong. Dr. Audette is one of the profession\u2019s recognized leaders in the area of International physical therapy experiences.<\/p>\n Dr. Pete Blanpied<\/strong>, led a group of International collaborators in an effort on revising the \u201cNeck Pain Clinical Practice Guidelines\u201d published in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy.<\/p>\n Professors Janice Hulme<\/strong> and Samantha Brown<\/strong> presented a poster titled: ” Building Collaborative Environments in Geriatrics Curriculum: An Inter-professional Educational Model”.
