Dr. Jiangnan Zhu, from the University of Hong Kong, shared research from her new Cambridge University Press book on corruption and political selection in China, exploring how corruption shapes political advancement and access to power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PhD student, Yifei Zhu, introduced exciting new work at the intersection of AI, computational social science, and political science. His talk,\u00a0<em>\u201cAgentic Framework for Political Biography Extraction,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0showed how AI can turn large amounts of unstructured political biographies into usable data for research\u2014a great example of how new technologies are reshaping the way we do political science.
