University of Rhode Island President Marc Parlange delivered his annual State of the University Address on Friday, September 19, in Edwards Hall on the Kingston Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt URI, our greatest strength has always been our people\u2014the faculty, staff and students who make discovery possible and who bring our mission to life,\u201d said Parlange. He noted several successes the University achieved in the past year, including the R1 designation<\/a>, multi-million dollar gifts and research awards, and athletic victories, and reflected on \u201cwhy we are here, what unites us as a community, and where we are headed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
