Angela N Google

Biography

Dr. Angela Google is a biology education researcher who received her Ph.D. from Middle Tennessee State University in Interdisciplinary Sciences Education. Inspired by advising undergraduate biology majors and teaching introductory biology courses, her research seeks to comprehensively characterized what contributes to the academic success of those historically excluded from postsecondary science education through identity-based inquiry. Her work explores the salience of intersecting identities among STEM students as an important element in their STEM identity development and persistence in STEM fields. Outside of research, Angela enjoys painting, dancing, and traveling to new places and looks forward to joining the URI family.
