Biography

Silvi is a sixth year student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the University of Rhode Island, with a focus in Multicultural Psychology. Silvi is currently on internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Prior to coming to URI, Silvi was a research assistant at the Harm Reduction Research and Treatment Center (HaRRT Center) at the University of Washington—Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Silvi received her B.A. in psychology and comparative history of ideas (CHID) at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2015 and her M.A. in clinical psychology at the University of Rhode Island in 2020.

Research

Silvi’s research interests include substance use, trauma, multicultural factors, and community psychology, with specific interest in harm reduction interventions for substance use within underserved communities.
