This year, we want to induct you! Some of the benefits associated with Psi Chi membership are described below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation in the URI chapter of Psi Chi can help you&nbsp;prepare for graduate school in several ways. You will interact regularly with upper-level students and learn about their experiences with the Graduate Record Exam and their applications to graduate schools. You also will have the opportunity to attend several career workshops throughout the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Membership Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-boxout-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-boxout right  \"><h1>Member Application<\/h1><p><a class=\"cl-button   prominent\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/psychology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1282\/memberapp.psichi.org_applicationformmember.pdf\" title=\"\">Download (PDF)<\/a><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply to become a member of Psi Chi if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have completed&nbsp;at least nine (9) credit hours in psychology including Psychology 113, 300, and 301, or are currently&nbsp;enrolled in PSY301;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have declared Psychology as either your major or minor course of study;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have attained at least a 3.0 cumulative average, as well as at least a \u201cB\u201d average in psychology courses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>exhibit high standards of personal behavior;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide a&nbsp;personal statement that indicates why you wish to become a member of Psi Chi;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>receive a three-fourths affirmative vote of Psi Chi members at a regular meeting of the chapter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psi Chi Psi Chi is the international honor society&nbsp;for Psychology.&nbsp;The URI chapter of Psi Chi has been active for more than 20 years&#8230; and our membership is increasing.
