Seminar Series<\/h1>\n\n

RCR education is required for all graduate students completing a research thesis or dissertation. Attending 3 sessions of the RCR Seminar Series satisfies the URI Graduate School requirement for RCR education.<\/p>\n\n\nlearn more and register<\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) is a broad term referring to integrity and ethical standards in the work of scientists, scholars, and professionals involved in the field of scientific inquiry and practice. Responsible and ethical conduct of research is critical for excellence, as well as public trust, in science and engineering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, education in RCR is considered essential in the preparation of future scientists and engineers. URI is fully committed to educating its students, faculty, and staff on the issues surrounding the responsible conduct of research and their obligations as individuals and members of the larger research community. <\/p>\n\n\nRCR Education Plan\u00a0<\/a>\n\n\n

Subrecipients <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RCR education requirements for externally-funded research pass down to subrecipient organizations. If RCR education is not available to subrecipient personnel through their home organization, they may access the training through the URI CITI account.
