The current presidential administration has issued Executive Orders and policy updates since the inauguration on January 20, 2025, indicating possible shifts in federal priorities. These changes impact both awarded projects and those awaiting funding from federal agencies or sponsors.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A University Leadership Team on Federal Actions<\/strong><\/a>\u202fis monitoring executive and legislative action closely and actively engaging with the Rhode Island Congressional Delegation, other elected leaders, and national education and research associations, including the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU) and the Council on Government Relations (COGR). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recognize that these potential changes have raised many questions.\u202fThe University<\/strong><\/a>\u202fremains committed to supporting our community and to our vital mission as a land- and sea-grant public research university. These resources from our national associations provide up-to-date information on the status of executive orders and policy initiatives <\/p>\n\n\n\n
