Initial Submission Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To initiate the IBC review process, thoroughly complete the IBC New and Five Year Renewal Registration Form<\/a> and submit the form via IRBNet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequent Submission Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To request changes to an approved registration, complete and submit the IBC Amendment Form<\/a> via IRBNet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registrations are valid for five (5) years, at which time a de novo registration must be reviewed and approved. To initiate renewal, complete and submit the IBC New and Five Year Renewal Registration Form<\/a> via IRBNet at least three (3) weeks before expiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approved Biological Research registrations must be terminated upon completion of the project. To terminate a protocol, completed and submit the IBC Termination Form<\/a> via IRBNet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Registrations receive an initial review by ORI personnel, who will reach out to you to request any changes needed to get your registration ready for review by the committee. Depending on the specifics of the project and the level of risk, the registration may be eligible for Administrative Review, Expedited Review, or Full Committee Review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
