Assists in connecting you with the right groups and systems to successfully navigate the research enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/central-pre-award\/to-prepare-and-submit-your-proposal\/\"><strong>Pre-Award<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThink&nbsp;<em>Monopoly money<\/em>! Reviews proposals, assists with submissions, and handles non-financial reports (InfoEd).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Award Intake<\/strong><br \/>\nReviews and accepts awards, enters data into InfoEd<strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;and ensures required compliance is in place (InfoEd)!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/manage-your-grant-award-central-post-award\/\"><strong>Post-Award<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nCompletes detailed budget entry and project setup in PeopleSoft; monitors award terms, conditions, and compliance; manages post-award actions such as rebudgeting; and provides guidance on allowable costs and reporting&nbsp;(InfoEd\/PeopleSoft).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/office-of-research-integrity\/cbrc\/\"><strong>Comparative Biology Resources Center (CBRC)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nProvides top-notch care for animals used in teaching and research.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/research-security-export-controls\/\"><strong>Research Security<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSupports researchers in meeting federal and institutional requirements related to export controls, cybersecurity, foreign influence, and other emerging research security risks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/office-of-research-integrity\/\"><strong>Office of Research Integrity <\/strong><\/a>Oversees COI, human subjects, research ethics, and other compliance areas to promote ethical and responsible conduct of research.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/industry\/\"><strong>Intellectual Property &amp; Economic Development<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSupports faculty and students in protecting inventions, securing patents, and advancing commercialization of research discoveries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/infoed-era-system\/\"><strong>Research Information Systems &amp; Strategy<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nManages InfoEd and other research systems \u2014 but for proposal help, start with your Pre-Award Specialist!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/research-admin\/research-admin\/externalrelations\/\"><strong>Research Communications<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nShowcases URI research accomplishments internally and externally through print and online. Celebrates faculty, staff, and student research with annual award events. Assists in organizing conferences, seminars, poster sessions, and workshops to highlight URI researchers and inventors.
