Imaging<\/a><\/li>\n<li id=\"menu-item-36773\" class=\"menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page menu-item-36773\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/single-cell-and-spatial-omics-instruments\/\">Single Cell and Spatial Omics<\/a><\/li>\n<li id=\"menu-item-35341\" class=\"menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page menu-item-35341\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/core-facility\/instrument-recommendations\/general-analytical-equipment\/\">General Instruments<\/a><\/li>\n<li id=\"menu-item-35362\" class=\"menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page menu-item-35362\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/core-facility\/instrument-recommendations\/\">Instrument Recommendations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/nav><\/section>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Lato, Hind, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 1.3rem;font-weight: bold\">Instructions on RI-INBRE Instrument and Software Requests <\/span><a style=\"font-family: Lato, Hind, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 1.3rem;font-weight: bold\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/Instruments-and-Software-Requests-Aug-2018-NEW-LOGO-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(PDF)<\/a><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fullwidth\">\n<h3>Instrument Requests<\/h3>\n<p>The RI-INBRE Centralized Research Core Facility (CRCF) issues a biannual email solicitation, in January<br \/>\nand July, to the RI-INBRE email list for suggestions of instruments to upgrade or add to the facility.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Replies to the solicitation should include<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A description of the instrument<\/li>\n<li>Vendor Name<\/li>\n<li>Vendor Model information<\/li>\n<li>A justification detailing how the instrument will benefit the requester\u2019s research and research<br \/>\nin the RI-INBRE community.<\/li>\n<li>Letters of support for an instrument from other members of the RI-INBRE and state<br \/>\nbiomedical research communities are strongly encouraged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Criteria for purchasing a suggested instrument include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Suitability of the instrument to the mission and resources of the CRCF<\/li>\n<li>Number of anticipated users<\/li>\n<li>Cost and availability of funds<\/li>\n<li>The inclusion of any matching funds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All instruments will reside in, and be under the management of, the CRCF, even if the purchase is<br \/>\nsupported with matching funds.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong>Software requests<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Bioinformatic and data analysis software requests can be made at any time and will be reviewed<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>biennially in January and in July.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nRequests must include a justification including how the purchase will benefit the researcher and the<br \/>\nRI-INBRE and state research communities.
