This three-year Community Projects grant will allow RI-INBRE to continue the Workforce Development &amp; Training (WDT) Pilot Program funded for 2 years through the RI Department of expansion of the program to 14 modules: 3D Science Visualization, Application of Biochromatography, Basic Laboratory Skills, Introduction to Biological Data Science, Cell Culture (CCRI), DNA Manipulation, Effective Science Communication, Fluorescence Microscopy, Introduction to Enzyme-Drug Assays, Modern Approaches for Detecting and Separating Small Molecules, Nanosensors, Patient Simulation, Principle of Drug Delivery Formulations, and Worm Model Neurobiology.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37278\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37278\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37278\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/IMGP1984_small.jpg\" 131 modules and were recruited from <strong>RI-INBRE Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows<\/strong> (SURF), and University of Rhode Island\u2019s Coastal Fellows, Arts and Sciences Fellows, and id=\"caption-attachment-34341\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Basic Skills WDT Module<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This summer, RI-INBRE launched the inaugural <strong>Workforce Development and <\/strong><strong>Training<\/strong> (WDT) program funded by the <strong>Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.<\/strong> The WDT program is designed to leverage the resources of the <strong>RI-INBRE Centralized Research Core Facility<\/strong> (CRCF) to teach practical biomedical science skills to students and will eventually include incumbent workers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_34342\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-34342\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-34342\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Drug Formulation WDT Module<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Eight modules were offered covering the topics Basic Biomedical Laboratory Skills, Small Molecule Separation, 3D Science Visualization, Drug Delivery Formulations, Confocal and Fluorescence Microscopy, Disease State Modeling and Patient Simulation, DNA Sequencing and Bioinformatics, and Proteomics.&nbsp;The
