As a RI-INBRE investigator, he was awarded Collaborative Research, SURF and Proposal Development awards (2011-2020), and a NIH INBRE-COBRE Supplemental award (2020-2021). Dr. Reid received a NSF award in 2020 that is Bryant University\u2019s first external funding mechanism!&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fullwidth\">\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5669\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/Williams_Preferred_032015-1-300x268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"223\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nLaura&nbsp;<\/b><b>Williams, PhD&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/b><b>Associate Professor, Providence College<br \/>\n<\/b>Dr. Williams was appointed as a Steering Committee member on May 1st, 2021. Dr. Williams was awarded Early Career Development and SURF Training awards (2015-2019), and she a RI-INBRE\u2019s Bioinformatics Pilot Project award (2021-2022). Dr. Williams teaches Microbiology and Genomics at Providence College, and works with undergraduate research students during the academic years and summers to investigate genome evolution and molecular mechanisms of predatory bacteria.<\/p>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-26126\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/Rosenthal-JWU-2021-e1624301230331-300x245.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"232\">Samantha&nbsp;<\/b><b>Rosenthal, PhD&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/b><b>Assistant Professor, Johnson &amp; Wales University<br \/>\n<\/b>Johnson &amp; Wales University (JWU) is officially a RI-INBRE partner institution! A town hall meeting was held and provided information for faculty and the attendance was well received with fifteen people in attendance. JWU\u2019s faculty are eligible to submit proposals to apply for RI-INBRE grant funding in the coming fall.
