Dr. Advait Badkar leads the cross-functional, multi-site team responsible for the complex formulation & manufacturing process of the BioNTech\/Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine drug product including scale-up, technology transfer, & registration across global markets. His team at Pfizer specializes in novel delivery technologies with emphasis & expertise in nanoparticle-based modalities. The Pharmaceutical R & D lab in Andover MA is the US site where all the lab-scale & pilot-scale work for the final vaccine vialed product is done. Advait received a B.S. in Pharmacy from the Pravara Rural College of Pharmacy- Pune University (India), a MS in Pharmaceutics from Auburn University AL and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Mercer University GA. He has over 20 years of experience in development of biopharmaceuticals, vaccines & novel drug delivery modalities & has held previous scientific and leadership roles at Pharmacia in St. Louis MO & Pfizer Inc. in Chesterfield MO. <\/p>\n
