Ross McIntyre, M.D. Professor&nbsp;<br \/>\nNorris Cotton Cancer Center<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Professor, Microbiology and Immunology<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Turk is the O. Ross McIntyre, M.D. Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She began her faculty career in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth over 16 years ago, and currently serves as Co-Director of the Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy Program at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Turk received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue University, and completed her postdoctoral training in the Laboratory of Tumor Immunology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of Dr. Turk\u2019s research is to understand long-lived memory T cell responses to cancer. Her most recent studies focus on generating tissue-resident memory CD8 T cell responses to melanoma. Her work has revealed key determinants for generating durable immunity to melanoma in the setting of autoimmune vitiligo, in both mouse models and in long-term cancer survivors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mini Keynote August 17th Mary Jo Turk, PhD Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine O.
