2023 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program<\/h2>\n

RI-INBRE is preparing for the 20th Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program! 
\n\"\"The paid fellowship experience is for undergraduate students to complete mentored research and professional development activities during the summer at RI-INBRE network institutions. It is open to students from all nine RI institutions. Students from underrepresented backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. <\/p>\n


\nApplications and letters of recommendation are due by February 10th.<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The program ends with the annual state-wide Rhode Island Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium<\/a> (RI SURS) where students present their research via a poster presentation.<\/p>\n

RI-INBRE SURF Program Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 10-week program will run from May 22 to July 28, 2023<\/strong> at our network institutions: Bryant University, Johnson & Wales University, Providence College, Rhode Island College, Roger Williams University, and Salve Regina University<\/strong>.<\/p>\nSURF at the Network Institutions<\/a>\n

The 12-week program will be held from May 22 to August 11, 2023<\/strong> at the University of Rhode Island<\/strong> and Brown University<\/strong>,<\/p>\nSURF At URI and Brown University<\/a>\n

\n

This summer RI-INBRE will again be collaborating with the Rhode Island Summer Undergraduate Research Consortium (RI-SURC), which is a collaboration between RI-INBRE SURF, NSF RI EPSCoR\/C-AIM SURF, URI Science & Engineering Fellows, URI Coastal Fellows, and URI MARC U*STAR summer research programs. More than 200 students under the RI-SURC umbrella will participate in orientation, training, and professional development workshops.<\/p>\n
