Over five researchers from URI\u2019s Biology,<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-36794 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/Picture7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"447\" height=\"377\"> Pharmacy, Physics, and Engineering departments participated in imaging and analyzing their samples. The demo was also featured at the College of Pharmacy Welcome Day at CRCF, where more than 30 admitted students and their families had the opportunity to explore plants under the stereoscope microscope, enhancing their excitement about the biological research. During the demonstration, the Ivesta stereoscope quickly gained popularity and became highly sought after by CRCF users. As a result, CRCF decided to purchase one for research. The stereoscope plays a vital role in the INBRE Workforce Development and Training Program, particularly in worm model neurobiology studies.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Leica Stellaris 5 WLL Confocal workshop (July 2024)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>CRCF hosted another Leica confocal workshop in July 2024, introducing the Leica Stellaris 5 WLL, the only confocal system with an integrated white light laser (WLL), combined with an Acousto-Optical Beam Splitter (AOBS) and Power HyD S detectors. More than nine research groups imaged samples such as plants, moss,<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-36795 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/Picture8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"421\" height=\"325\"> bacteria, and nanoparticles during the 5-day workshop.
