Single Cell"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>RI-INBRE Acquires Advanced Instrumentation for Single Cell and Spatial Omics Research<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>We have completed the purchase of new 10X Genomics Chromium X single-cell omics system and a 10X Genomics Visium CytAssist instruments which are housed in the CRCF.&nbsp; These instruments will allow our cores to offer services in single-cell omics and discovery-level spatial omics.&nbsp; This is a significant upgrade to the ability of RI-INBRE and affiliated researchers to conduct cutting edge omics-based analyses.&nbsp; We are currently training core personnel on the use of these instruments and will provide training to the broader community in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10X Genomics Chromium X for Single Cell Assays<\/strong>.&nbsp; The Chromium X is a 10X Genomics next-generation single-cell system, allowing for low-to-high<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36820 alignright\" style=\"font-style: normal;font-weight: 400;font-family: Charter, Georgia, serif;font-size: 20px\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riinbre\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1497\/10X-Genomics-Chromium-X.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"214\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;throughput single-cell assays using the latest 10X Genomics chemistries and analysis of millions of cells.&nbsp; This instrument allows users to conduct assays for gene expression (RNA-seq), chromatin accessibility (ATAC-seq), multiomic ATAC + gene expression, and single-cell immune profiling.&nbsp; You can find more information on the Chromium X at 10X Genomics\u2019 site (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.10xgenomics.com\/instruments\/chromium-x-series\">Link<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>10X Genomics Visium CytAssist for Discovery Spatial Omics Assays.<\/strong>&nbsp; Using standard tissue slice methods, users can perform gene or protein expression analyses on the same samples used for microscopy applications.&nbsp; When combined with single-cell data from the Chromium X, users will be able to study gene expression at single-cell resolution in a spatial context, which can then be used to inform more advanced <em>in situ<\/em> spatial analyses.&nbsp;
