Dr. Geoffrey Bothun, Princpal Investigator & Project Director of the Rhode Island Consortium for Coastal Ecology Assessment, Innovation & Modeling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
We have all been deeply impacted by the global COVID pandemic, and the Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR Track-1 program is no exception. However, through the dedication, resilience and creativity of our students, faculty and staff, RI C-AIM continues to advance research and workforce development addressing the effects of climate variability on  coastal ecosystems. We have also been deeply impacted by the fight for social justice and recognize that we all<\/b> must confront racism and be advocates for change. On both fronts, our RI C-AIM community continues to rise to the challenge!<\/p>\n
With this edition of The Current<\/strong>, our annual magazine, we introduce our new digital format integrating multimedia experiences. Shaun Kirby, our Communications and Outreach Coordinator, has done a wonderful job leading this effort and creating compelling content. The stories in this edition highlight just a handful of the many excellent projects funded through support from the National Science Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
