Art and Science at CCRI<\/h2>

Scientists and artists are driving inclusive science communication at the community college and beyond<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Observation drives curiosity about one’s subject and how it is perceived. An artist or scientist interprets their observations as art, design solutions, or scientific theories<\/span>. Supported by RI-NEST<\/a>, this mentorship facilitates the creation of art and design projects for science communication among a cohort of students and STEM professors from the Community College of Rhode Island.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What students will do<\/h2>\n

This project will bring together CCRI <\/span>Art & Design <\/span>and STEM students to explore shared subject matter through observation and interpretation, challenging eachs ways of working. <\/span>Under the mentorship of faculty advisors, students will follow a design process, from researching subject matter to iteration, critique, and refinement. Student art and design work completed in this project will be exhibited to the public.  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
