The Rhode Island Network for Excellence in Science & Technology<\/strong> (RI-NEST), funded through the U.S. National Science Foundation, offers a critical platform for building the state\u2019s research ecosystem and connecting all those in academia, industry, and community to develop use-inspired<\/a>, transdisciplinary<\/a> research that serves all Rhode Islanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, October 30, 8am-4:45pm<\/strong> at the Rhode Island School of Design, RI-NEST will convene faculty, students, and others across the state supporting research in STEM fields to engage in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Interactive sessions on how to obtain continued investment, specifically from the U.S. National Science Foundation, in research and STEM-related activities for institutions and organizations across the state, as well as coordinate such activities more effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Opportunities to network with professionals of diverse expertise throughout Rhode Island’s research ecosystem<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Showcases of EPSCoR-supported research from faculty and students, as well as programming organized by all of the EPSCoR grants in the state.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
