The meeting concerns the next proposal to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a Collaborative Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Steering Committee will present information on the next application for a five-year agreement and on White Papers due in early 2014.\u00a0The session will run from 2-4 p.m. at the Providence Chamber of Commerce, 30 Exchange Terrace, 4th Floor, Providence, RI 02903.<\/p>\n<p>Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR conducts groundbreaking research and develops academic talent in the science and technology fields to increase competitiveness in research and development, build a more capable workforce and fuel economic growth in the Ocean State.<\/p>\n<p>Funded by the NSF and state contributions, Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR brings together nine of the state\u2019s public and private institutions of higher education in pursuit of a strong and sustainable marine ecosystem that serves as a foundation for Rhode Island\u2019s economy and quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>This collaborative approach creates more productive partnerships across multiple disciplines, from science to art, and draws on the strength of the state\u2019s collective diversity.
