These data will be used to evaluate the behavior of the <strong>Ocean State Ocean Model<\/strong>, an model under active development by students and post-doctoral scientists at URI and Brown. In past years, students have worked in this group to bring buoy, satellite, drone, Department of Health beach measurements, and ship-based observations into a form suitable for assessing the model&#8217;s skill. As we turn toward future modeling and real-time data collection, data sciences and statistics are becoming more of the process in comparing models and data.<\/p>\n<p>This team will work together with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ridatadiscovery.org\/#\/\">Rhode Island Data Discovery Center<\/a> team and the Ocean State Ocean Model team to bring data and models together, including visualization.
