At a special Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR luncheon April\u00a07, Dr. Bodo Stern, a former scientific editor for\u00a0<em>Cell<\/em>, will present an insider\u2019s view of the scientific publication process and key strategies to build successful relationships with editors.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Dr. \u00a0Stern serves as\u00a0Director\u00a0of Research Affairs at\u00a0Harvard University\u2019s FAS Center for Systems Biology.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be held 12-2 p. m. at The University Club, 95 Upper College Road, on the University of Rhode Island Kingston campus.<\/p>\n<p>The April 7 luncheon builds on the promise and proud tradition of the ADVANCE project, a program funded from\u00a02003-2009 by the National Science Foundation designed to improve and enrich the academic science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workforce at the University of\u00a0Rhode\u00a0Island.<\/p>\n<p>Rhode Island STEM faculty, staff and graduate students interested in learning about science journal publication strategies are welcome to attend. Lunch will be served.
