Please provide the appropriate tax exemption certification when renting a vehicle via the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/controller\/tax-exemption-certifications\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/controller\/tax-exemption-certifications\/\">Controller&#8217;s Tax Exemption Certifications<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"vehicle-insurance\">Rental Vehicle Insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our agreements with Enterprise and National rental agencies include full collision damage waiver, that covers the full value of the vehicle in the event of any physical damage. The rate also includes liability coverage up to $300,000 which pertains to third party claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If renting from a non-preferred rental agency for domestic travel, you must request a certificate of insurance through&nbsp;University Risk Management&nbsp;to obtain coverage through the University.&nbsp; All certificate requests must be made at least four days prior to traveling. An insurance certificate will be emailed to you, that you will print and bring to the rental agency.<\/p>\n\n\n<a class=\"cl-button  \" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/riskmanagement\/coi-request-rental-vehicle\/\" title=\"\">Certificate of Insurance Request<\/a>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For international travel, you must purchase the collision damage waiver and liability insurance in the minimum amount offered by the rental agency. The University\u2019s auto policy does not extend coverage to non-U.S. territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"justification\">Rental Vehicle Justification Form<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need a vehicle during your travel you must complete the rental vehicle justification form and place your reservation though the state approved travel agency. The form must be approved and attached to the Travel Authorization in PeopleSoft prior to arranging travel. When making travel arrangements, please inform the travel agent that a rental car will be needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cl-tiles halves\">\n<div><a class=\"cl-button block-level \" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/uc?export=download&amp;id=1vt3-ccSZE6l93H8FCLEsJ0dh3GzgqNI6\" title=\"\">Rental Vehicle Justification Form<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"partnership\">Partnership with Enterprise and National Car Rental<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>URI has a partnership with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental for preferred rates on rental vehicles at any destination you may be travelling to. Any vehicles rented domestically through the Booking Tool will include insurance and the best rates available for URI employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cl-tiles halves\">\n<div><a class=\"cl-button block-level \" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/uc?export=download&amp;id=1dsxDtWyhBJXg_i1C6wu94iiu4j3cWBgQ\" title=\"\">URI Rental Rates<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"emerald\">Emerald Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enterprise offers frequent renters the Emerald Program, taking advantage of the National rates at airports. This allows them to book an intermediate car, skip the line at the counter and pick any vehicle in the Emerald aisle.
