&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;DATE 10\/23\/18<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEETING START TIME:<\/strong> 6:17PM<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENDANCE: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Committee:<\/strong> Chair Morabito, Vice Chair Nelson, Senator McGrath, Senator Leach, Senator D\u2019Aguanno<\/p>\n<p><strong>Absent:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-Committee:<\/strong> Senator Menard<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISCUSSION: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TOPIC 1: Freenters<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Freenters emailed back with a few testimonies from schools that use them<\/li>\n<li>Got an email today named Mark Oliver who works in IT and he saw the cigar article and he wants to be included in discussions about freenters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 2: liaisons<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>List of academic liaison positions down in the office<\/li>\n<li>Thanks for signing up for positions<\/li>\n<li>Academic chair works with president to pick the official liaisons for the positions<\/li>\n<li>People will be emailed soon if they are appointed for these positions<\/li>\n<li>If you are not assigned as the liaison or to the committee you can still help out with the person who does have the position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 3: School materials give away<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have not heard back from Gage about his father as a contact for school materials give away<\/li>\n<li>The person who was the lead person for this project had dropped senate, so no one is leading the research on this project as of now<\/li>\n<li>We need a new leader for this project<\/li>\n<li>We could work on it as a committee without a leader<\/li>\n<li>Need to figure out where we can store the donations once we receive them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 4: Instagram post<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On November 7<sup>th<\/sup> we will be having internal elections<\/li>\n<li>Please nominate people who are interested<\/li>\n<li>Important to academic is college liaisons such as Engineering, Education and Professional Studies, Health Sciences and Nursing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extra:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEETING ADJOURNMENT TIME: 6:37PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ACADEMIC COMMITTEE MINUTES&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
