&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;DATE 3\/20\/19<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEETING START TIME:<\/strong> 5:15PM<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENDANCE: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Committee:<\/strong> Vice Chair Nelson, Senator Bagley, Senator McGrath, Senator Bhat, Senator Padro<\/p>\n<p><strong>Absent:<\/strong> Chair Blancheflower, Senator Rumas, Senator Menard, Senator Degnan<\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-Committee:<\/strong> Senator Marotta<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISCUSSION: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TOPIC 1: Engineers for a Sustainable World<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Will be meeting with them soon, possibly come to next general senate meeting<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Talking about sustainability programs they can do together<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Possible sustainability program on the quad around the week of April 14<sup>th<\/sup>-20<sup>th<\/sup>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Two weeks before finals so that students can relax and not stress about finals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We were looking into water bottles under 5 dollars, around 500 for around $2,500 to pass around<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We are interested in getting a table at earth day if we cannot organize an event on our own<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 2: Resolution Calling for URI to Demand DOT to Stop Pushing Back Route 138 Improvement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We want someone to take the lead on that project<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We can look into sending out a survey about use of Route 138<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">If we do pass this resolution, we should have a few senators go to the statehouse and hand deliver the resolution to them to prove we actually care about this<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 3: Parking<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">No updates<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Police are working out a plan for a license plate scanner for HOV parking<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We have a car sharing service call Wheelie\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">It\u2019s an easy to use app to promote carpooling<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We could use this in tandem with the HOV plan to get more people to carpool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 4: HRL<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Have not heard back from HRL<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Senator Bhat trying to get to the bottom of why none of her international student friends got accepted as an RA<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Senator Marotta heard someone who was denied housing due all the rooms being full, but she has seen empty rooms on campus<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Looking into any space for off campus residents who need to work a booth for first night<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 5: Second Safety Lighting Walk<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">we need to pick a date for second walk in April to organize with Baker<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">not Fridays<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Tuesdays work for some<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Mondays works for everyone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 6: bus gates<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Most of those gates open for the buses and don\u2019t reclose afterwards<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We should look into getting those fixed so that cars that shouldn\u2019t be entering the center of campus don\u2019t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TOPIC 7: Pool Equipment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We got new felt and pool sticks, and someone already broke two pool sticks<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We were thinking of putting up a sign to ask for students to respect the equipment<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">We also thought maybe they could put the equipment behind the welcome desk and people have to check them out with an ID they return the equipment in good condition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Extra:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MEETING ADJOURNMENT TIME: 5:50 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CAMPUS COMMITTEE MINUTES&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
